AUSTRALIAN SHIPBOARD

QSL card from VK9MI the first shipboard broadcasting station on board the MV Kanimbla operating out of Melbourne for a report 1936 on 6.010 and 11.710 MHz.

A very interestingly card. Another example of shipboard radio was the VOA who used to operate on short wave from Rhodes, Greece, from the USCG Courier in the 1950s.

This rare QSL card is from the collection of Richard Jary of Australia.
